The unusually thin snowpack has forced Mt. Ashland to postpone the start date of our program yet another week. Based on the most recent forecast, the ski area has proposed Friday, January 20, as our likely start date. That is the Friday that St. Mary's will be closed for in-service. Provided that mother nature comes through, buses will leave St. Mary's at 9 a.m. on that day and return to school at 7 p.m. A bus will stop at the Ashland's Market of Choice at 9:30 a.m. to pick up our Ashland students on the way to the mountain and at 6:30 p.m. to drop them off on the way back. All participants will receive a ski or snowboard lesson on that first day. Two Fridays in February (the 10th and the 17th) have been added to fill out our 5-day program schedule. Stay tuned for any further developments.
