The international students did very well academically this year. Numerous students' names were called for their high GPA. Eric received an award for his excellent work in Art History.
This past Saturday, the students did some community service at ScienceWorks Museum in Ashland. There was an exhibit called "Time Machine" during which the students helped the youngster with activities.
The students and I celebrated the year of the Dragon this past Saturday in the quaint, historic town of Jacksonville. While some students performed the Lion Dance in the parade, others did their community service helping a plethora of local chidren learn more about the Chinese culture.
Last Friday, we had our Holiday Party at the dorm. The students invited their American friends from school and spent a nice, failry quiet evening together eating, playing games, making cards and chatting.
Last night, Will, Bourne, William, Hedy, ChenChen, Hedy, April, Sarah and Livia helped at the well attended annual Festival of Trees in Medford. While our boys were welcoming guests at the door, the girls were busy at the coat check. Nice job everyone!
